Watch Out! Pothole Season is Here!

The cold and icy weather is moving out.  It is leaving behind pothole-filled roads that can cause damage to your vehicle.

The best way to avoid pothole damage is to avoid the potholes, but that isn't always possible.  Chevrolet has put together a great article about surviving pothole season.  You can read it here and it is definitely worth the read!

Some highlights of the article include:

Keep alert while driving so you notice potholes before hitting them.  If you can't avoid the pothole, reduce your speed so you can proceed over it slowly.

Keep your tire pressure inflated properly.  This can help your vehicle handle potholes more effectively.

Make sure to have a good spare tire, car jack, and necessary tools to change a tire.  If a pothole causes a flat, you will need them!

Be sure to report large potholes to your city or county for repair.  This helps them to locate potholes of concern so they can be fixed more quickly.

The Emich Chevrolet Service Department near Denver is here to help if you find yourself with a vehicle damaged by a pothole.  We can take care of your tire, alignment, and suspension-related needs!
