Theft Alarm Notification has been added to the OnStar Stolen Vehicle Assistance service. Subscribers who own an equipped vehicle can opt-in to receive a text, email, or phone call alert if their vehicle alarm is triggered. This allows the owner valuable time to notify OnStar and the proper authorities to make efforts to retrieve a stolen vehicle.
The Theft Alarm Notification will be available later this summer. Most 2014 and newer Chevrolet vehicles are equipped to offer Theft Alarm Notification through the OnStar system.
