Chevrolet Named in Ward's 10 Best Engine Awards

Two Chevrolet engines/ propulsion systems have been named to the Ward's 10 Best Engines list.  WardsAuto evaluated 31 engines from 11 automakers to choose the best.  They are reviewed based on power, fuel efficiency, new technology, and refinement.  

Chevrolet's award-winners are the all-new 3.6L V6 and Voltec propulsion system.  The 3.6L V6 is available on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and the Voltect propulsion system is found on the 2016 Chevrolet Volt.

Chevrolet Introduces Active Phone Cooling Feature

Chevrolet has introduced an Active Phone Cooling feature which will debut on several 2016 models when equipped with the available wireless charging.  Vehicles that will have this innovative new feature available include 2016 Malibu, 2016 Volt, 2016 Impala, and 2016 Cruze.  

The Active Phone Cooling feature aims at reducing the issue of smartphone overheating which can lead to ineffective charging.  This often occurs when the temperature in the vehicle or cell phone charging area gets too high.   With the Active Phone Cooling system an air vent connected to the air conditioning and ventilation system is directed to the charging bin to lower the phone's temperature.  This occurs when the vehicle's HVAC system is activated.  

Chevrolet Unveils All-New 2016 Volt

Chevrolet has unveiled the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Volt!  The new Volt offers an extended range of 50 miles of EV range, stronger acceleration, and a sleeker design.  The vehicle should be available in the second half of 2015.

Sneak Peek of the 2016 Chevrolet Volt

Chevrolet recently offered a sneak peek of the 2016 Volt at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.  They revealed only the front of the vehicle, but will have a complete reveal at the North American Auto Show on January 12.

2016 Chevrolet Volt Features All-New Voltec Propulsion System

The 2016 Chevrolet Volt will feature an all-new Voltec propulsion system which will provide more efficiency and offer greater EV range and fuel economy.  The system includes the battery, drive unit, range-extending engine, and power electronics.  Read more about this new propulsion system here.

Chevrolet Camouflages Volt For Testing

Chevrolet is testing the next-generation 2016 Chevrolet Volt but is being careful to keep its new styling under wraps!  Trying to keep the secret is no easy task.  Chevrolet camouflages the vehicle in several ways including black and white patterns, swirls, 3D layering, and bubble wrap which all hide the true shape of the vehicle.  The 2016 Volt will debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.

Next Generation Chevrolet Volt to Debut

Chevrolet will debut the next-generation Chevrolet Volt at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.  The 2016 Chevrolet Volt will build upon the already successful Volt foundation of technology innovation and customer satisfaction.
