Chevrolet Announces 2 New Corvette Design Packages

2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel Honored as Diesel Car of the Year

The Diesel Driver magazine recently awarded the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel as the Diesel Car of the Year.  In addition, Chevrolet as a brand was named Diesel Car Manufacturer of the Year.  The win was based on votes cast from The Diesel Driver readers and came in from over 100 countries!  Read more about it here.

Chevrolet Vehicles Featured in Fourth Transformers Film

Chevrolet vehicles have had a significant presence in each Transformers movie, and the fourth movie in the series continues that tradition!  The movie, Transformers: Age of Extinction, will feature a Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Chevrolet Sonic, and Chevrolet Trax.  The movie is due in theaters this summer.

Chevrolet has unveiled the 2015 Chevrolet Trax, a small SUV that will join the line-up early next year.  The Trax offers a mix of small-car agility and SUV utility.   Read more about it here.

Chevrolet has just announced the addition of the 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible to their line-up.  That will mean Chevrolet's 2015 line-up will feature 14 distinct performance models---  9 Camaro models, 4 Corvette models, and a SS performance sedan.  Read more about it here.

Eight-Speed Automatic Available on 2015 Corvette Stingray

Chevrolet has released details on the new eight-speed automatic transmission that will be offered on the 2015 Corvette Stingray.  The eight-speed paddle shift automatic transmission is expected to deliver up to 5% greater efficiency as compared to the six-speed automatic.  In addition, extensive use of aluminum and magnesium make the transmission about eight pounds lighter and its creative packaging allow the four gear sets and five clutches to fit into the same space as a six-speed.    Read more information here.
